Good day to all,
Hope that everyone is enjoying the warm weather that we are finally getting, and hopefully we can get a complete golf tournament without either a monsoon or gale force winds……..believe me it is not Bruce’s fault he has as much control of the weather as any of us.
We are making some changes in our operations in the Restaurant:
For July and August we will not have the Sunday Lunch Buffet; the attendance has been very small, we are averaging less than 40 members for the Buffet and it takes over 75 members to make it a financial breakeven preposition, this decision while maybe not a popular one will save the Club money.
We really want to thank our Sunday regulars for supporting the Club and we sincerely apologize for inconveniencing you.
The Sunday Buffet will start again in September, and it is up to all of you to tell us what is that you want to see on the Buffet: breakfast items and lunch items, lunch items only, more variety, more comfort food, carved items, one, two or three… price range, etc…. This Buffet should be a gathering place for all members on Sunday just tell us how to make it so; we can create anything you wish.
On Sundays during July and August we will open the Restaurant from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM featuring three family oriented specials, priced accordingly and of course, the All-Day and the Lunch menus will be available in their entirety.
Also for July and August we will not have the Wine Dinners, with vacations, family trips and getting the kids back to school it will be difficult to get the group together, we will restart the Wine Dinners on Thursday September 24th, promptly at 7:00 PM. We will revisit Italy and, of course, it will be our best ever!
The Bar hours of operation will remain the same as they are now, no changes are being made nor contemplated
July starts with a bang, literary, we are having the 4th of July Celebration with Pool Games, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a Family BBQ, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, our traditional Golf Cart Parade at 7:30 PM and the tremendous Fireworks Show, so be prepared to spend the 4th of July with us at your Club
We need more members, specially Social members, we are planning an Open House for the Second Saturday in August 8/8/09, from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM, if you know someone in the Searcy Metro area that has the qualities we seek in a member and that you feel will make a good one, bring them on, the charges for your guests are on us, we want them to see and feel how our Club operates
July 15th will mark my second anniversary at the Club, come on in, share an adult beverage with me and tell me how you feel we are doing and what would you like to see happen at your Club
