Good day to all,
The Pool opening on Saturday May 23rd was a huge splash! Everyone was happy; the members, theirs guests, the staff, so, what’s a little rain…….
The Pool was sparkling clean, with new chaise lounges and in full compliance with the new Federal Law (Virginia Graemer Baker) in relation to vacuum release pumps, both the Snack Bar and the Life Guards staffs had on new uniforms and were eager to work and take care of the guests, this summer’s pool season promises to be a great one.
This year we will offering Swimming Lessons and Aquatic Aerobics, please look in the newsletter for the details.
The music system in the Clubhouse has been restored, now you can enjoy light jazz and other favorites while you dine, play bridge, enjoy an adult beverage or just relax at your Club.
If anyone has very strong, solid connections with the Almighty, please put in a good word for us, Arkansas can not take any more rain and we would like to get the coming tournaments in without the golfers getting soaked in the process…..
We will have a new tournament that promises to be a coming great tradition at the Club, the Memorial, will be played for the first time on June 12, 13 and 14, make sure to participate, it will be a new highly competitive format and will be enjoyed by all.
On the 27 and the 28 we will have another great Searcy Country Club tradition, the Todd A. Simpson Memorial Golf Tournament, there will be music, entertainment, excellent food and they will get to play a little golf too…..
Monday evenings are getting pretty full with Private Parties at the Pool; please call Candy, well in advance of your date as not to be left out.
This month wine event will be a Wine Appreciation Class; we will taste 2 Sparkling Wines, 1 Blush, 5 Whites, 5 Reds and a beautiful Port. The food will include some of your favorites and a new dessert, look for all the details in the newsletter.
Tino will accompany us for dinner on Friday the 12 and the 26; he really makes dining at the Club a special Occasion with his music.
Jason and Van, courtesy of Bill Berry, will play and sing along with you on Thursday June 18 at the Bar.
The Friday Night Special for June 19th is a Father’s Day one, a 16 oz cowboy cut (bone-in) rib Eye Steak, make sure that Dad have his well deserved Day.
Your Club continues to do well, we need to see more participation, especially on Sunday for the Buffet, please let us know your comments.
