April Newsletter 2009
Good day to all,
Spring is here! Time to clean up the old clubs, or maybe buy some new ones and get to the practice range and get the rust out of our swings…
We have several events planned for the month of April: please plan to attend the Easter Buffet on Easter Day, Sunday April, we’ll have an excellent food presentation to please all palates and lots of fun activities for the kids; an Easter Egg Hunt and an opportunity to visit and have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny! Tino, the Music Man will be with us on Friday April 1oth and Friday April 24th, Tino sure adds a lot of pleasure to our Friday Night dinners. The Three Men’s Scramble Tournament is scheduled for the weekend of April the 18th.
Our Wine Dinner for the month of April will have a definitive French accent; all wines are French and some varietals that we have never tried before, it will be a very interesting affair, it is set for the 30th of April.
Please, support your Club and plan to attend the April events.
We are planning to spruce up the Men’s Locker Room, once we have all the details of the forthcoming improvements we’ll fill you in.
You will notice a very pleasant and agreeable difference in the Club temperatures, the entire Club has been insulated to a 30 R insulation factor, all the HVAC units have been totally overhauled and new ductwork has been installed, we are looking forward to a very cool summer!
In response to several comments we have changed the menu offerings for the Sunday Buffet and reduced the price accordingly. We are now offering a soup, a green salad with numerous condiments and dressings, Potato and Cole Slaw salads, four vegetable, two starches, one meat entrée, and of course, chicken strips and chicken fried livers, we also present a fresh carved item every Sunday, the price is now $12.95 for Adults, $6.95 for children ages 8 to 12 and children 8 and under eat free! However, attendance has not improved and in fact declined from when we offered the entire Brunch Menu at a higher price, I would like to know what we have to do to increase attendance on Sundays, please let me know your thoughts.
We still need your e-mail address, please send to me at miguelespinascc@sbcglobal.net
As usual, all your comments and suggestions are always welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks!
