May 2010 Newsletter
Good day to all,
After the first two months of operations for the current fiscal year the Club is over budgeted revenues by $11,900 and over budgeted net income by $$2,200. A very good way to start the year!
We are in the process of fixing and painting the Kiddies pool, the gazebo covers are back on, the new pool furniture has arrived and the pool will look great when we re-open it on Saturday May 22nd 2010, we will have a Pool Opening Party on the that day.
The month starts with the Crawfish Boil and Golf Tournament, on Saturday May 1st; it will be a blast with the music of Donnie Mathis and his Band.
Jason and Brent have been such a hit that we are bringing them twice this month, on Saturday May 8th for the Member’s Appreciation Buffet and on Saturday May 29th for the Seafood Buffet.
We are moving the Wine Dinner to the third Thursday in May, the 20th in order to accommodate additional business for the Club; if the wine enthusiasts like this date better, we can move all the upcoming Wine Dinners to the third Thursday of each month.
The Line Dancers will get moving again on Thursday May 6th, get your scooting boots on and join the party!
We have only received 4 replies to our requests for suggestions for the Sunday Brunch Buffet, we would like to make a presentation that would be to the liking of most of the club members, a Buffet involves a lot of planning, food costs and additional labor costs in both Culinary and Service; we have a fiscal responsibility to insure that it will be well attended and somewhat profitable for the Club, please let me know your thoughts.
Since summer is upon us we had the Air Conditioner system serviced and for what I hear it is working very well, let’s hope that it continues to perform well.
There are a lot of activities during this coming month; Golf Tournaments, the Pool Opening and many excellent food events, come to the club, you will be glad you did!
Thanks!
