March 2010 Newsletter
February 24th 2010
Good day to all.
I do not know about you, but I have had enough snow and ice to last me for quite a few years…..
The club survived well enough; we lost a couple of trees and lots of limbs out in the course and the pool gazebos canvas tops were lost; we are in the process of replacing them. Most important our roof did not suffer any damages and withstood the weight of the ice and snow without any leaks; we were lucky.
Scott and his crew have been working very hard, trimming all the trees, clearing the course, I am sure that you have seen the bonfire, we are not roasting marshmallows, I assure you.
We have a lot in store for you in March: most important is the Annual Meeting on Wednesday March 3rd. you will have the opportunity to meet the new Board members, ask questions and have your opinions heard, it is important that you attend and express your views concerning your Club.
The Line Dancing class was a success, so we are repeating it on Thursday March 4th
Saturday March 6th is the Member’s Appreciation Buffet, really good value for really good food!
Golf activities should return to normal, with the Ladies Golf Association meeting on the 9th and the Senior Men’s on the 17th
Tino will be with us on Friday March 12 and Friday March 26th, come enjoy our Specials and Tino’s soothing musical renditions
Erin go Bragh! Wednesday March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day, we invite all “Irish” to come enjoy the music of Jason in the bar and quaff some Irish adult beverages and delicious corned beef sandwiches.
On Thursday March 25th, we will have a Wine Appreciation Event, you will have the opportunity to “sample” 14 different wines accompanied by uniquely delicious food items
Saturday March 27th is a double treat day, first our famous Seafood Buffet and then Jason and guest performing all your favorites in the Bar.
So, come visit your Club, you’ll be glad you did!
Thanks!
