My name is Bruce Baxley. I am originally from Conway, AR where I graduated from High School in 1997. I went on to college at the University of Central Arkansas. The university did not have a golf team the first two years I was there. During those two years I played everyday. I kept getting better and better. My first individual tournament I played in was the Maumelle Classic. I shot 73-72 the first two days. On the news that night they announced that there were seven different states represented in this tournament, and there were three people from Arkansas in the top ten. I was one of them. I went on to shoot 77 the last day and finished 17. The next week I went to play on the Hot Springs Lions Classic where I shot 69-75 and finished third. I went on to get a scholarship the next year at University of Central Arkansas and played three years for them.
I graduated in 2002 and went to work at Centennial Valley for one year before I started my career as a golf professional. I went to work for Cimarron Grubb (who is now the Vice President of the South Central Section of the PGA) in 2003. Cimarron was a great mentor and taught me many things about life as a golf professional.
After working for two years under Cimarron, I became the Head Golf Professional here at Searcy Country Club. In December of 2008 I completed the Golf Management program and became a member of the PGA of America. I am very proud of this accomplishment. I am very involved in the PGA of America. Golf changed my life in so many ways. I just want the chance to share my experiences with as many children as I can. I have been coordinating Junior Golf Clinics for ten years at different facilities. I will continue to promote junior golf in anyway I can.
Lessons: I have the capability of videoing anyone’s swing and analyzing it using the V1 video analysis. I give approximately 200 lessons a year, and I work with all ages and skill levels. I charge

$35 for Members of Searcy Country Club
$45 for nonmembers
I give lessons on Tuesday thru Friday anytime of the day. I will also give lessons on Saturday morning if we have scheduling conflicts.
